Windows 10 is the latest version of the Microsoft operating system. It was made free to update for those users who are using the previous versions and made a unique record in the history. Update your Drivers:
In the first prior you need to update your Ethernet and motherboard drivers. Go to the manufacturers’ websites and search for the specific model for your motherboard brand and install them. One thing you need to make sure that the Ethernet drivers should be correct for your motherboard installed.
Uninstall your Network Adapter:
On the Windows icon, there will be a Device Manager and you need to do right click on it. After doing right click you need to uninstall the network adapter under “Network Adapters” for your Ethernet. Next select Action and Scan for hardware changes, now you need to enable Windows to find your updated Ethernet drivers and then install it.
Check Adapter Settings:
In the Windows icon do right click and select Network Connections, now the list of your adapters will be displayed. Now the right-click that adapter in which you have issues and select “Properties”. Also you need to make sure that Internet Protocol Version 4 and Internet Protocol Version 6 are checked.
Update/Reinstall VPN and/or Antivirus/Firewall:
If you are using a VPN, then you have to uninstall the adapter and should reinstall it. Upgrading a new OS is to make sure that you have got the latest versions that have a great number of integral applications and rather VPNs can be particular about how the set up of virtual adapters is done.
If you are using any antivirus software or any of the third party firewall software then you need to do the same. Uninstalling and clean-install of the AV/firewall software will enable you to know the issues that are associated with restoring internet connections.
